California Privacy Notice
CCPA / CPRA · Last updated: July 31, 2026
This notice supplements our Privacy Policy and applies to California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA.
Categories of personal information we collect
- Identifiers — name, postal address, email address, phone number, IP address.
- Customer records — property address and the answers you provide about your property and situation.
- Commercial information — your stated intent to sell, timeline, and estimated property value.
- Internet activity — pages viewed, referring URL, advertising click identifiers, and browser user agent.
- Inferences — whether your request matches a given buyer’s criteria.
We collect this directly from you when you complete the questionnaire, and automatically from your browser. We do not collect Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, precise geolocation, biometric data, or health information on this site.
Why we collect it
To match you with home buyers and agents, to transmit your request to them, to document your consent, to prevent fraud, to measure advertising performance, and to comply with law.
Disclosure and “sale” / “sharing”
We disclose your personal information to third parties for valuable consideration. Under the CCPA’s broad definitions, this may be treated as a “sale” and/or “sharing” of personal information. Specifically, when you submit the form we transmit the identifiers, customer records, and commercial information listed above to up to four (4) home buyers, investors, lead marketplaces, and/or licensed real estate agents, and to parties acting on their behalf, so they can contact you about purchasing your property. We may also share internet activity information with advertising and analytics providers.
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.
Retention
We retain submissions and consent records for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes above and for legal recordkeeping — generally at least five years, consistent with telemarketing recordkeeping requirements.
Your California rights
- Know / access the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collected about you, the sources, our purposes, and the categories of third parties we disclosed it to.
- Delete personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions.
- Correct inaccurate personal information.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information.
- Limit use of sensitive personal information (we do not collect any on this site).
- Non-discrimination — we will not deny service, charge a different price, or provide a different level of quality because you exercised these rights.
How to exercise your rights
Email privacy@takemykeys.com with the subject line “California Privacy Request”, or call (844) 326-3442. Include the name, phone number, and email you submitted so we can verify you. We will confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 days (extendable by another 45 with notice). An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with written proof of authorization.
Important: opting out with us stops future disclosures. Information already transmitted to a buyer or agent is held by them under their own policies — you will need to contact those parties directly to have them delete it or stop contacting you.
